In 2001, our herring and mackerel production facility was built based on the Norwegian design of fish-processing plants. This design incorporates state of the art and semi-automated production and freezing facilities of up to 250 metric tons per day.

We size and grade fish for food and bait purposes. At the time of production, 50 employees process pelagic species—predominantly herring and mackerel, with the help of semi-automated equipment to pack fish whole round. Once packed, our blast freezing facility promptly freezes our fish to -22 Fahrenheit (-30 Celsius) to optimize maximum freshness for seafood available year-round.
