Established in 2001, Cape Seafoods, Inc is a predominantly family-owned and operated seafood company. We are quality producers of pelagic fish, mainly Atlantic Herring (Clupea harengus), Atlantic Mackerel (Scomber scombrus) and Illex Squid (Illex illecebrosus). Our fish are caught by local fisherman out of the historic fishing port of Gloucester, Massachusetts USA. We are dedicated to responsible fishing practices and policies that will sustain our fishery for future generations. In 2018 we officially became a proud Lobster distributor.
At Cape Seafood’s, Inc. we cater to the primary fish markets of frozen seafood and frozen and fresh bait. Our products are graded by size, then packaged into 18kg-22kg cartons, and blast frozen to -22° Fahrenheit (-30° Celsius), resulting in access to quality seafood and bait products year-round.
Our wholesale Bait Shop at the end of the pier, serves local commercial and recreational fishermen. We have a Frozen Bait Vending Machine that offers a variety of frozen bait fish available 24 hours a day. You can find our Bait Freezers at local gas and convenience stores in the surrounding towns. In addition to local customers, our clients are based around the country from the Great Lakes to the Gulf and West Coasts, and abroad in over 40 different countries.
